Project overview
Contracted by Ken Biggs Contractors Ltd to carry out a complete refurbishment of this farmhouse: electrical design, interior and exterior lighting with Rako scene set control, supply and installation of luminaires, distribution, small power, and AV and data systems.
What we did
- A Rako scene set control system switching the interior lighting, supply and installation of light fitments, and exterior landscape lighting.
- A mains distribution system covering the main and ancillary buildings, with small power using Forbes & Lomax wiring accessories.
- Control wiring for the mechanical services, including a 42 zone Heatmiser heating and hot water system with full remote operation over the internet. A fully wired Cat 6 data system with WiFi throughout, and full AV wiring: speakers, satellite and full HDMI TV distribution, ceiling speakers, TVs, wall brackets, Sky boxes and Sonos audio equipment.
- We also installed a mobile telephone network boost system, fire detection throughout, a lightning protection system, electric gate and audio interface, and an intruder alarm with monitoring.
