Our story
Trading since 1980. Still doing an excellent job, every time.
Humphreys Electrical has worked on everything from large commercial and industrial projects to substantial domestic installations. We work with building contractors, architects, project management companies and directly with the end customer, and every job has its own set of requirements.
We have been trading since 1980, providing electrical services for domestic, commercial and industrial clients. Starting out with two directors, we have grown in both size and reputation, each of us dedicated to giving clients the best service possible. Whether we’re planning a new installation or upgrading an existing system, we bring our years of knowledge and experience so that every client gets professional advice and great service.
We are members of the NICEIC Approved Contractor Scheme. That gives our clients confidence that our work is carried out by competent engineers and complies with the relevant safety standards, that we hold adequate insurance, and that our documentation, training, technical capability and equipment are maintained and up to date.

Karl Humphreys
Managing Director
The original founder of the company in 1980, Karl is still a director and remains involved in the day to day management of the business.
Michael Willis
Director
Mike joined the company in 1985 as a partner and remains fully involved as a director.
Pete Hanrahan
Contracts Manager
Pete joined as an apprentice in 2005 and progressed to senior electrician, then site manager on our large projects. In 2018 he became overall contracts manager, looking after all of our projects.
Robert Davis
Estimator
Rob joined as an apprentice in 2011 and progressed to senior electrician. With his knowledge of our work and our values, he was the natural choice for the estimator role.
Michele Perry
Accounts & Payroll Manager
Michele joined in 1988 as secretary and admin clerk and, after several training and college courses, now runs accounts and payroll.
Apprenticeships

Over many years of trading we’ve found that taking on apprentices is the key to a high level of properly trained, competent engineers.
We’re very proud that many of our team started out on our apprenticeship scheme and chose to stay with us after gaining their experience and qualifications. Our contracts manager and our estimator both began here as apprentices.
