FAQs
Straight answers to the questions we’re asked most, at home and at work. Anything else, just call.
01793 783964Yes. As a business you are required to provide a safe place to work for your employees. The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 should be adhered to and installations should be under planned maintenance. You could also find it difficult to get insurance if they are not.
Inspecting a domestic installation isn’t a legal requirement, but it should be done every ten years as a minimum. It makes sure you and everyone living with you is safe by minimising risk, and if you ever sell your home the transaction will be smoother if your electrics have been regularly maintained and inspected.
As with many aspects of electrics, it’s important to have it inspected regularly so it can be maintained or updated as necessary. At the very least you should have RCD protection to socket outlets in general use. If you don’t, or you have any other questions about your fusebox, get in touch and we’ll talk you through the options.
For the same reason you would use any expert. Someone who knows what they are doing and belongs to an approved organisation is compliant and regularly inspected to make sure they meet that organisation’s standards. It’s for your peace of mind.
Tell us what you have in mind. We’ll advise on design and equipment and come back to you with a clear, detailed quotation.
